Established suburban housing with mature tile roofs. Consistent post-war stock and correspondingly consistent bedding failure timing.
What comes up most around Como: repointing, roof repairs, tile roofs. Middle stock, so that mix is typical for the area.
Como is inside the your local council area, so those rules apply.
The WA rules are set at state level, so they're identical here: no roofing licence below $20,000, Building Services Board registration above it, and a Plumbers Licensing Board licence for any gutter or stormwater work.
An inspection and written report is $150 to $350 and usually comes off the work. Repointing runs $1,500 to $4,500; a re-roof $16,000 to $38,000.
No obligation. Takes 30 seconds.
The most common roof repair in Perth, and the one people leave too long.
Leaks, slipped tiles, failed valleys and the rest of it.
Terracotta and concrete — the two roofs almost every Perth home has.
Clean, re-bed, repoint and coat — and the honest limits of it.
